Job Description We have an amazing opportunity for a Data Scientist in Durban!We require a candidate with:•Degree/Diploma in IT•5+ yrs - Solid experience in Linux scripting and automation (BASH, Python, etc)•5+ yrs - Solid RESTful API code development skills•3+ years solid experience of configuration management products (Ansible)•5+ yrs Solid experience in programming languages (PHP, Java, Java Script)•5+ yrs Solid Linux (Ubuntu) Operating System experience •Solid working knowledge of database types (My SQL, Mongo DB, Oracle)•Experience with software packaging, versioning, and deployment•Experience with re-engineering of existing processes•Working knowledge of Cloud and virtualization technologies•Web development experience with HTML, Java Script, PHP, Apache/Tomcat•Strong understanding of UNIX security and encryption technologies•Experience with working on infrastructure projects with other teams•Ability to use and work with a variety of technologies and tools
