Kantey & Templer is looking for a Senior Geometric Design Engineer / Technologist Section: Roads & Transportationbased in Cape Town.
This position provides for excellent long-term career progression at a well-established multi-disciplinary consulting firm.
Skills Highly competent in roads and highways geometric design for national and provincial authorities.
Extensive experience in complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc.
300) advantageous.
Preparation of road infrastructure design reports.
Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
Experience with COLTO, COTO & general conditions of contract would be advantageous.
Site experience would be advantageous.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc.
Compliance with ISO standards of the company.
Assisting in projects as required.
Qualifications BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering as a minimum.
Minimum 8 years' road-specific design experience is a pre-requisite.
Registration with ECSA as a Pr.
Eng. or Pr. Tech Eng is preferable.
Proficient in Auto CAD, Civil3 D software packages.
Experience with ACC (BIM360) and Navisworks advantageous.
