The Role
As a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer (L3) , youll work across projects and advanced support , acting as a technical leader for customers and internal teams. You will: Design, build, migrate, secure, and optimize Microsoft environments
Lead infrastructure, DR, security, and modernization projects
Handle advanced L2/L3 escalations
Work directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor
Act as Technical / Project Lead on MSP platform and standardization initiatives
Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange Azure & hybrid infrastructure Disaster Recovery & BDR: Datto, Veeam, Saa S backups Cybersecurity best practices across client environments Core MSP platforms and tooling (full ownership expected) Youll plan, implement, and manage: Server deployments and migrations
Microsoft 365 & Exchange migrations
Azure and hybrid infrastructure
DR & BDR solutions (Datto, Veeam, Saa S)
Cybersecurity standards across all client environments Support & Operations Servers, Microsoft 365, networks, endpoints, and security platforms Day-to-day includes: Troubleshooting via phone, email, and ticketing systems
SLA and ITIL-aligned ticket management
Proactive queue monitoring and escalation
Maintaining accurate technical documentation
Participation in a rotating after-hours support schedule Networking & Systems Expertise
Troubleshoot and support:
LAN/WAN connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls
Endpoints and peripherals
DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
Email systems and deliverability
Plan and implement:
Patch management strategies
Application deployments, service packs, and updates What You Bring Experience 6+ years in progressive systems engineering / technical support
Recent (last 12–24 months) hands-on experience with:
Server & Microsoft 365 / Exchange migrations
DR & backup solutions (Datto, Veeam)
Email security and spam filtering platforms
Firewalls and security tools Technical Skills Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching Ways of Working Proven infrastructure design and implementation experience (Visio a plus)
Experience across regulated industries (finance, medical, legal, non-profit, real estate)
Vendor management and negotiation experience
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Clear, confident customer-facing communication
Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable in fast-paced MSP environments Preferred / Bonus A+, Server+, Security+, Microsoft certifications (or equivalent)
Cybersecurity certifications (highly advantageous)
Associates or Bachelors degree in IT or related field
Deep expertise in Microsoft, Azure, networking, and security infrastructure Artificial Intelligence Innovation
