Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and lead the kitchen team.
The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, beachside environment.
You will play a key role in menu execution, kitchen operations, and staff mentorship.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that reflect the restaurant's style and standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure all dishes are consistent in quality, portion, and presentation.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in line with regulations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes, specials, and seasonal offerings.
Step in to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
