Purpose: Support the Sub-Sahara Africa sweet goods team by providing advanced expertise in the sweet goods category. This role involves leveraging technical knowledge and experience to drive strategic initiatives, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities:

Execute customer briefs by formulating recipes and applying them across various categories, including dairy, confectionery, bakery, cereals, and desserts, in compliance with industrial standards and country-specific requirements.
Provide support to clients during industrial trials, recommending appropriate industrial processes for new product development.
Conduct customer visits to drive innovation, support ACM by preparing samples, and respond to technical inquiries from customers.
Implement dsm-firmenich technologies to optimize the cost of existing customer products, thereby reducing overall product costs.
Manage the procurement of raw materials required for applications in the Sweet Goods lab.
Oversee various internal administrative systems and tasks related to project briefs, maintaining accurate daily records of laboratory activities and results.
Perform stability tests and assess application stability in accordance with established protocols.
Effectively manage and supervise students, delegating tasks to ensure efficient workflow and development.

You Bring:

National Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or Biotechnology.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the FMCG or flavor industry.
Proficient understanding of process flows for various sweet goods food applications.
Strong sensory skills in organoleptic and olfactory testing.
Comprehensive knowledge of flavors, particularly in confectionery, dairy, bakery, and cereals.
In-depth understanding of different raw materials used in sweet goods products.
