Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
SAMTRAC / Relevant Safety Qualification (non-negotiable)
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (advantageous)
3 6 years experience in a Safety / SHEQ role
Experience working with SHE software (Isometrix advantageous)
Computer literate (MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong administrative and reporting skills Key Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain and update the site SHEQ Management System
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all applicable regulations
Conduct internal SHE audits and report findings to management
Act as the primary contact for all safety-related matters
Manage and administer the SHEQ software system (Isometrix)
Compile and implement SHEQ training programmes
Ensure induction and annual refresher safety training for employees
Compile and manage customer safety files
Monitor and manage workshop equipment compliance (cranes, lifting equipment, pressure vessels, etc.)
Monitor calibration of measuring and testing equipment
Control vehicle inspection check sheets and stop unroadworthy vehicles
Manage WCL incident claims for the site
Ensure entrance and exit medicals are conducted
Enforce safety standards and stop unsafe work where required
Liaise with certification bodies and external stakeholders
