Brief description of the vacancy:

A sheet metal manufacturing company based in Pretoria West is seeking a Senior Draughtsman to start immediately

Responsibilities:

- Reading of various drawings and ability to convert it into a Solidworks package
- Schedule assignments and communicate details to all individuals in the CAD department.
- Participate in all production meetings.
- Generate complex drawings in Solidworks according to specifications.
- Do follow-up checks on completed drawings.
- Create Data Packages.
- Create cutting files.
- Understand the bending, laser, machining and welding procedures.
- Use of all measuring tools.
- Liaison with quality department.
- Identifying various components with regards to drawings.
- Make adjustments on drawings as required from other departments

Experience required:
- Min 3 - 5 years’ experience required in steel manufacturing.
- Experience in using measuring equipment like tape measure & vernier

Qualifications required:

- Matric with Technical Drawings as a subject.
- Draughting qualification will be an advantage

Computer Skills required:

- Competency in Microsoft applications including word, outlook & excel.
- Experience in Solidworks.
- Experience in Auto CAD- Experience in Sigmanest
