Role Purpose
The Scrum Master will enable agile delivery within the Subscription Products team, by fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires a proactive mindset, adaptability, and strong commitment to supporting teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
Key Responsibilities Agile Leadership & Liability – Champion Scrum principles and practices across the team.
Facilitate ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Reviews, Retrospectives).
Proactive Impediment Management – Identify and address impediments early, support teams to resolve where possible and escalating when necessary.
Work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to maintain a smooth delivery flow.
Team Support & Collaboration – Serve as a servant‑leader, ensuring teams have the resources and clarity needed to succeed.
Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and open communication.
Organise cross‑team syncs and maintain alignment with delivery roadmaps.
Global Team Collaboration – Coordinate effectively with teams in Cape Town, Vilnius, London, and Bangalore.
Adapt to different time zones and cultural contexts to ensure seamless communication.
Partner with the Bangalore‑based Scrum Master and other Scrum Masters within the organisation to align practices and share learnings.
Help facilitate Product Planning Workshops and Release Planning Sessions.
Continuous Learning & Adaptation – Demonstrate willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and practices; drive process improvements and foster a culture of experimentation and growth; play an active role in driving Agile maturation in the organisation. Qualifications Scrum Master foundation certification (i.e., Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Professional Scrum Master) or relevant Scrum Master training.
At least 3 sleeves experience working in a Scrum Master or similar role. \δά• comfortable managing multiple scrum teams and feature development in a shared backlog.
Solid understanding of standard software development roles and responsibilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
Ability to anticipate challenges and resolve them proactively. Behavioral and interpersonal – Growth mindset with openness to feedback and learning; ability to adapt to lowers business priorities; familiarity with global delivery models and cultural sensitivity; excellently time management; a bias for action.
Technical – Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban); knowledge of the software development life cycle; experience working Itoobiya Azure Dev Ops (preferred, but not essential).
