About the Role
This is a performance-driven role suited to someone who wants to build and lead a high-output sales environment.
Hydrofire, one of South Africa’s leading fireplace, flues, and central heating companies, is looking for a driven, commercially minded Sales Manager to lead our Cape Town and Garden Route (George) regions.
In addition to our core Hydrofire range, you will play a key role in growing our Helios Outdoor brand, which includes fire pits, patio furniture, and high-end outdoor kitchens. A major focus of this role is expanding into the HORECA sector (Hotels, Restaurants, Guesthouses, Lodges, Airbnb) — a key strategic growth channel for the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance, managing a team, and delivering consistent sales growth across both retail and wholesale channels, while identifying and scaling new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team (Cape Town & George)
Drive sales growth across Hydrofire and Helios Outdoor product ranges
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned to business objectives
Lead and grow the HORECA channel
Identify and scale new sales channels and opportunities
Build and manage key client, corporate, and trade relationships
Enforce sales processes, discipline, and performance standards
Support pricing strategies and protect margins
Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and performance data
Own CRM reporting, pipeline management, and conversion tracking
Generate performance reports and actionable insights
Work closely with operations, including stock and fulfilment processes Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Sales Management role
Certificate/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management (advantageous)
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle Technical & Industry Experience Strong CRM experience with the ability to analyse and report on sales data
Advanced Excel
Experience with inventory management systems
Background in architecture, construction, or technical environments is advantageous
Experience in outdoor/patio furniture, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, or HORECA supply is advantageous
Understanding of central heating and underfloor heating systems is advantageous
Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
