Under the supervision of registered Pharmacist, responsible for data system input of medication orders, report generation, charging functions, preparing IV admixtures, preparing and repacking drugs accurately, maintaining adequate inventory to approved medication areas, training new personnel, inspection of medication areas, and delivery of medication to nursing units.

Required Education: High School (or GED)
 

Preferred Technical Skills: adept at Microsoft, Excel, Power Point 

Required Licensure/Certification: Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. A Pharmacy Technician Trainee must become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within one year after start date to continue employment. 

Preferred Licensure/Certification: PTCB Certification, Sterile IV Compounding Certification 

Preferred Experience: One year experience working as a pharmacy technician, hospital pharmacy technician experience.
