My client in the Service industry is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator on a 7 month contract to manage a team and oversee key client accounts in the Shared Services environment. This role requires a payroll execution specialist to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of monthly payrolls to clients, while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring compliance with tax and labor legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee a portfolio of payroll clients, fostering strong relationships, managing risks, and escalating issues as needed.
- Payroll Compliance: Stay up-to-date with tax and labor legislation, ensuring team compliance with all legal requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor payroll processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service level agreements (SLA). Identify areas for process improvement.
- Business Planning & Payroll Execution: Ensure monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll processes are completed as per client agreements. Manage resource allocation and resolve client issues.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring adherence to payroll systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Completed Payroll qualification
Skills:
5-8 years of experience in an outsourcing/shared service payroll environment, including team leadership.

Strong leadership and administration skills.
Extensive payroll knowledge, with proficiency in computerized payroll and HR systems.
Advanced MS Excel skills (formatting, sorting, basic math, filters, etc.).
