Role Summary: The Surgeon is responsible for providing pre-operative, operative, and post-operative management of patient care within the multi-disciplinary clinical team.
Additionally, the Surgeon will provide clinical leadership within surgical facilities in support of the Iqarus Regional Medical Director.
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform surgical interventions, including damage control surgery and procedures for emergency cases, to deliver life, limb, and function-saving medical treatment.
Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, specialists, and other medical staff.
Recognize and record information on medical condition and surgical risk.
Stabilize and support a casualty before evacuation by air or land, in support of the ER clinical team if required.
Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure all medical records are properly kept and maintained.
Provision of clinical reporting.
Support clinical mentoring for staff development.
Ensure best practices in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the Regional Medical Director.

Qualifications & Experience: University Degree in Medicine with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
A specialist qualification and/or formal education in Surgery.
Remain clinically up-to-date in surgical procedures and demonstrate operating experience.
