Mining Professional Our Mining client in the Northern Cape is sourcing for a Mining Professional to join their production team. Duties & Responsibilities Health, Safety and Environment Complies with the Mine Health and Safety Act as well as company policies and procedures. Production Assists with the drawing up of business strategy and budget formulation. Ensures optimal production of mining and plant. Achieves productivity targets. Cost Ensures correct allocation of resources e.g., labour and equipment. Allocates/withholds funds as dictated by operational requirements. Labour Management Defines labour structure and ensures vacancies are filled within a reasonable time. Reviews subordinates’ performances quarterly according to their respective KPIs. Approves and monitors overtime in the maintenance department based on Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements. Manages leave schedule. Desired Experience & Qualification National Diploma or B. Degree in Mining. Opencast Blasting Certificate. At least 5-10 years’ experience in an open cast mining environment, of which at least 2 years was at Production Manager level. Proven experience with opencast production & maintenance. Medical Fitness. Thorough experience in drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and pit dewatering. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines. Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor. Must possess basic problem-solving and self-management skills. Package & Remuneration Market Related
