Vacancy: Canteen Supervisor (Cape Town, Western Cape)Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Canteen Supervisor. Applicants need to reside in and around the Tokai or Retreat area only. Duties & Responsibilities Identify stock requirements and place orders as required. Manage and oversee the preparation of meals to ensure excellent service delivery standards are maintained. Participate in regular stock take, recording, and reporting processes. Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the canteen and associated catering operations, including orders, receipt of stock, and associated documentation. Deliver quality service to customers. Ensure food storage and handling is appropriate. Oversee and supervise canteen staff. Oversee cash handling and related security processes. Operate cash register, collect monies and balance funds at the end of the day. Ensure and maintain hygiene of the premises. Desired Experience & Qualification Must have Grade 12 (Twelve). Must have 2 (Two) to 3 (Three) years of experience as a Supervisor. Must have 1(one) year food experience, i.e., worked as a Supervisor, Chef or Cook, and prepared food in a restaurant or canteen. Must be computer literate. Able to adapt to a changing work environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have good contactable references. Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. A willingness to learn and grow within the company. Exceptional customer service and supervisory skills.
