Our client is looking for a dynamic, and ambitious individual to join their Team!!!

Overall Responsibility
The BDM is responsible for securing new revenue within existing portfolio of customers as well as seeking out new business within SA, Africa and other Export markets. The role is expected to have a biased focus on new business
 
Revenue Growth
  • Develop sales plan to grow existing and new customers in identified channels and focus markets in alignment with business strategy.
  • Implement a structured plan to achieve set targets
  • Focus on building sustainable export sales through strong partnerships in key markets
  • Take on a solutions and consultative approach to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  • Participate in sales campaigns to drive revenue and increase product growth.
  • Manage the sales process: lead generation, credentials check, solution pitch, negotiation and close.
  • Ensure RTM capabilities are delivered in support of new business channels and in new markets
  • Report on sales, activity and performance as required by CE.
  • Actively monitor market trends, including but not limited to personal contact with customers.
Collaboration
  • Building strong relationships and ensure a high level presence with all stakeholders.
  • Partner with marketing to build a focused plan for developed markets using a D2 C strategy for developed markets, such as the EMEA and Australasia
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with all departments.
Communication   
  • Work in conjunction with marketing to develop support plans that is relevant to the specific regions and customers. This marketing material needs to support the business plan, generate new business and raise awareness of the company brand.
  • Work with marketing to develop to identify appropriate go to market messaging for specific business needs.
  • Deliver high level presentations internally and externally (this would be applicable to customer development managers as well.
  • Keeping CE abreast of developments and progress on various initiatives.

Requirement for the role
  • Position based in Cape Town
  • Tertiary qualification in preferable Business, Marketing or Sales
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in regional sales management withing FMCG
  • Minimum of 3 years Key account management experience
  • Experience operating in Export markets, with demonstrated network a preference
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment will be an advantage
