Our client is seeking a Qualified Boilermaker with projects experience to join the Continuous Improvement Department.
Responsibilities
Identify and monitor progress on all refurb jobs across all Production areas, ensuring that all problems are identified and resolved as soon as possible in order that the product is not excessively delayed in any area/work centre.
Ensure all refurb jobs do not encounter the same problems.
Decide on solutions with the relevant personnel and implement such solutions with immediate effect.
Liaise with the relevant departments including the drawing office, engineering, production, sales & Marketing, Material Control and Purchasing
Initiate ECR’s where necessary
Attend pre-Production meetings and arrange Check Point meetings
Understand the tank container manufacturing process and refurbs.
Good interpretation of technical documentation
Perform all other indicative tasks as required
Essential Requirements
Must be a Qualified Red Seal Boilermaker
5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Must be able to work in heights and confined spaces
Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required
Be prepared to undergo written and verbal assessment
