Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulic Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining hydraulic presses to produce high-quality components. The Hydraulic Press Operator should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup:
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules to understand job specifications.
- Set up hydraulic presses according to the required specifications for each job.
- Install and align dies, molds, or tooling as necessary.
- Operation:
- Operate hydraulic presses to perform various forming, stamping, or molding operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas.
- Make adjustments to machine settings to control speed, pressure, and other variables.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks on product dimensions and make adjustments as needed.
- Document production and inspection records accurately.
- Safety:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Hydraulic Press Operator or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic press operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical training or certification in machine operation.
- Familiarity with different types of hydraulic presses and their applications.
- Experience with computer numerical control (CNC) systems.
