Qualifications
- Production Management / Engineering Diploma
- Operations Management / Business Management Degree / Diploma is an added advantage
Requirements
- 10 Years' relevant operational/production experience within manufacturing environment with at least 5 years at management level
- Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding or PU (Polyurethane) Casting, is required
- Full understanding of lean production system including visual management principles
- Excellent knowledge of raw materials, production processes and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture of goods
- Familiar with OSH Act implementation as per standard requirements, manage all non-conformances, capture and close on SHEQSYS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Duties
- Production outputs are monitored and managed to meet deadlines and quality requirements according to specifications and company targets
- All operational and manufacturing costs are controlled according to annual budget forecast
- Operational, safety, quality and human resources reports are generated and submitted according to the company procedure
- WIP is maintained at the minimum levels to achieve company production targets
- Monthly stock takes are planned, managed and executed
- Incidents raised by customers are investigated, monitored and reported on weekly basis
- All day-to-day activities at the production units are planned, organized, controlled and recorded according to company requirements
- Systems and practices necessary for an effective, innovative, safe and continuous learning culture among staff, contractors and suppliers are implemented and maintained
- Suitable manpower capabilities are planned, selected, developed and maintained for the production units
- KRAs/KPIs are monitored and evaluated according to set targets
- Plant related safety risks are monitored, addressed and reported on
- 16.2 tasks are performed for area of responsibility
- Compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements is ensured
- The annual production budget is formulated, and monthly short-term plan has been updated
- OSH ACT is implemented as per standard requirements, all non-conformances are managed, captured on Sheqsys and closed
- Company HR and Disciplinary policy is adhered to, coaching and technical direction is provided according to staff needs and all training is recorded in required format
