VACANT POSITION – MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Kedar Heritage Lodge Conference Centre & Spa requires the services of a Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans aligned with the vision of the Property.
• Ability to successfully develop, interpret, and apply policies and regulations.
• Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.
• Compile and manage the annual budget related to all preventative maintenance of infrastructure and equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Manage the preventative maintenance function effectively by ensuring reduction in real cost and improvement of facilities.
• Provide maintenance of infrastructure and equipment related input.
• Actively involved in all maintenance procedures and constantly follow up on all work completed.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas in need of maintenance and repair.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for buildings, landscaping, and common areas.
• Arrange for, supervise maintenance, and repair work, including but not limited to building repairs, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical fencing, security booms, staff ablution facilities, and lighting maintenance.
• Maintain an updated inventory of all equipment and tools used on the property.
• Monitor that all maintenance and repairs are done in compliance with relevant regulations and building codes.
• Repairing equipment and machinery.
• Sign off on work completed by service providers before payment and ensure that the relevant documentation for warranties is provided to Management.
• Plan, design, and maintain the landscaping and grounds of the property.
• Regularly maintain and clear any vegetation or obstructions around the electrical fence to ensure optimal functioning.
• Develop and implement a cleaning schedule for common areas, including staircases, balconies, pathways, parking, lawns, and all other common areas.
• Ensure that the bin area is clean, tidy, and hygienic, and oversee waste management.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any signs of pest activity or infestation.
• Implement control measures to prevent pests from entering the property and to eliminate existing infestations.
Requirements:
• 5 – 10 years relevant Maintenance / Facility Management experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to perform various repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook (managing schedules, budgets and communication).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Driver’s license.
• Honest and trustworthy beyond approach
• Presentable / Professional appearance and well spoken
• Team player who leads by example
• High energy levels coupled with a positive attitude
• Familiar with hospitality industry standards
• Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation
• Effective communication with members of staff as well as Guest of the Hotel
• Hands-on-Problem-Solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
