Oversee day-to-day maintenance of lodge infrastructure (buildings, water, electrical, plumbing, pools, HVAC, etc.)
Manage preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairs across all lodge departments
Supervise and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring high standards and responsiveness
Maintain and monitor backup power systems (generators, inverters, solar setups)
Ensure all safety, health, and environmental standards are strictly followed
Work closely with Lodge Manager and department heads to anticipate and respond to maintenance needs
Maintain workshop inventory, tools, and spares, ensuring timely procurement and cost control
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and technical service providers as needed
Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and compliance records

Minimum 5 years experience in lodge/hotel/remote property maintenance, ideally at a 4- or 5-star level
Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and general building systems
Experience with solar power, borehole/water systems, and generator maintenance
Excellent leadership, communication, and planning skills
Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Valid driver's license essential
Formal qualification in building maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields an advantage
