Primary Responsibility / Customer Service Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store Ensure that all customers entering the establishment feel welcome and are attended to by one of the ambassadors as soon as possible.

If none are available, it is your duty to make them feel welcome in the most appropriate way.

Training will be provided.

Make sure the shop front, stoeps and entrance is welcome, clean and attractive.

Ensure that tasting counter and sales counter is clean and presentable.

Make sure that all stationery and packaging material are fully stocked and have reserve on hand.

Order in or ensure that stock is ordered in when running low.

Find out the specific needs of each person that enters the store Give accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries; If information is not at hand, do everything possible to provide an answer before the customer leaves the store Remember to always “use your best judgment”Increase the customer base by adding new customers to the mailing list Work to make customers, not just sales, and learn to sell by satisfying customer needs Understand the spirit of the returns policy Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude and cooperate with teamwork Apply the above standards to all phone inquiries Merchandising and Maintenance: (Assist the shop manager with below) Check stock daily to ensure that all products are adequately stocked and available for customers If stock is not currently available offer to put their name on the order/wish list and to call them when stock arrives All merchandise must be neatly packed.

Shelves must be well stocked All stock to be counted daily so that all stock is counted within a 30-day, calendar month period All hanging merchandise attractively displayed with appropriate price tags Featured merchandise should be prominently displayed in each section Help store merchandiser and/or store manager by suggesting alternative locations for products Maintain store image by adhering to the dress guidelines as agreed upon Maintain a clean and well-organized back-stock area Ensure that floors are swept and mopped, and all rubbish bins emptied each day Ensure that toilets are always kept clean during the day Clean dry towels to be placed in toilets daily Shipments and Stock in- and out- Control (Assist the POS and Admin team when required) Assist in handle all outgoing freight documentation and capturing of data following correct procedures Assist in receive all incoming freight – ensuring that right procedures are followed Operations: Report to work 10 mins before start time or notify your direct manger in advance if absent or late Operate the cash register and take responsibility for the accurate ringing up of all invoices and processing of shipments.

Double check that all orders are packed correctly.

Either POS sales, restaurant sales or shipments.

It should be each employee’s goal to use the register without error and to be consistently accurate in money handling – ensure that this is done.

Understand and utilize all reports including Cash Up Procedure, Customer sales reports, Inventory management and stock control, etc Use correct procedures for processing cash ups, orders, shipping, tasting stock, etc Know the procedures for processing paperwork between the Point of Sale and Accounting Practice security measures that help prevent theft; Understand the procedures for handling shoplifters Practice safety consciousness at all times Mentoring, Training and Employee Development: Teach at least one person a job that you do Be proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, weekly reports, products, and the outdoor retail business Set and achieve goals during each review period Take advantage of the training opportunities that are offered Physical Requirements: Able to safely lift boxes up to 18kgs Comfortable with climbing small ladders Standing for extended period of time Available to work store schedule – Sunday to Sunday Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, Pastel, Internet and email Use spell check and proper layout of letters and such documents Able to understand VAT calculations on products and invoices (training will be provided) Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate by means of your sales skills and knowledge of wine Understand the principles of marketing Appreciate the need for consistency within the company’s branding and marketing mix Salary: R5000 – R10 000 CTC monthly
