BACKGROUND TO THIS SPECIFIC POSITION Our client, a leading construction manufacturer and installer of Aluminium Facades and Curtain walls, requires a senior executive to drive their international Sales and Client Relations divisions. THE POSITION AND TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES The ideal candidate will be an experienced C-Level executive working in the construction industry in aluminium construction or in any other civil engineering construction firm, dealing with large and complex civil engineering construction projects. Our client already has a very good track record in conducting large aluminium facade projects outside South Africa. The one key responsibility of this position is to build new relations with Architects, the Large Construction Companies in Europe, Australasia and Africa and close large contracts abroad. Inside South Africa this Executive will be responsible amongst others to do post large project reviews to ensure ongoing business from existing clients. Marketing component of this position inposition are responsible Another key attribute is the ability and willingness to travel extensively overseas to markets such as the USA, Europe, Australia, etc. into which the company intends to expand. THE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Engineering degree or diploma - Masters degree preferred - A person with a proven track record in selling large construction projects - A good negotiator able to bring in regularly large construction projects - A hands-on person not dependant on large support infrastructures - Not an eight to five person - A leader rather than a manager that can plan and implement strategic plans - A leader that can interact with all levels of a construction company - someone that inspire and motivate others
