A well-established Manufacturing company within the Food Service Industry is recruiting an intermediate level individual as a Food Safety Technologist to join their Quality Department. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: To assist with the requirements from the food safety system as needed. The main focus will be on supplier and raw material control, complaints handling and audits. Qualifications - BSc Food Science - BTech Food Technology - BTech Quality Assurance - Other Graduate or Diploma Science related qualification Knowledge & Experience - Food Safety/Quality standards (e.g. HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO9001 etc.) - Food analysis - Food processing environment - Working with people / Team work / Leading projects Key Responsibilities: - New Raw Material evaluations / approvals - (paper work) - New Supplier evaluations / approvals - (paper work) - Bi-annual Updating of Supplier information - Raw material specification setting / updating - (new and existing) - Collaborating with other departments on possible new raw material purchases - Raising of Non Conformance Reports - Logging and investigation of Customer complaints - Internal and supplier audits - Assisting other roles in the department from time to time Requirements: - 3 - 5 years relevant experience - Food related Analytical and microbiological knowledge - Report writing - Good Written communication - Legislation and Standards interpretation and application If you meet the requirements/criteria kindly forward your CV to (email address) If you have not heard back from our HR department within 2 weeks of your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.
