My Client is looking for a Strong National Sales Manager. Must be Afrikaans first language and must have FMCG/ Retail/ Trade experience. The core purpose of this role is to execute sales strategies and growth plans to ensure company growth and profitability.

  • Effective Management of National Customers - promote and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • To identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Oversee regional sales in conjunction with the Branch Managers
  • Product price management for all customers nationally - Manage annual product price increases, manage ad-hoc volume sales discounts, national promotions, etc.
  • Software training to the branches
  • Ensure sales budgeting is done accurately in conjunction with Branch Managers and Finance department
  • Customer analysis
  • Manage business integration from a sales perspective
  • Sales analysis and trend reporting
  • New product identification
  • Support import and local buying team
  • Assist with optimum product mix management
  • Build positive relationships with new and existing customers

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Minimum Grade 12 - relevant degree/diploma in sales/
    marketingwould be advantageous
  • Team leadership/management experience essential
  • Minimum of eight to ten years Sales Experience, of which three to five years within FMCG/retail/trade essential
  • Understanding the FMCG/retail/trade market
  • Understanding of marketing principles

  • Ability to problem solve and use initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Bi-lingual: Afrikaans and English
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment
  • Accountable, responsible, reliable
  • Work well in a team and individually
  • Must be MS Office advanced level user
  • Must have exceptionally strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity, credibility, trustworthiness and a professional appearance is non-negotiable
