Berry World South Africa is recruiting an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead the organisation's technology environment, including enterprise systems, data platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
The role requires a leader who can balance strategy with technical delivery, ensuring robust system design, effective project governance, and alignment between business requirements and technology execution.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the IT and Systems team, driving collaboration and performance.
Oversee enterprise architecture, solution design, and technology roadmaps.
Manage system development, integrations, and digital platforms.
Lead data strategy initiatives, including warehouses, ETL processes, and analytics.
Chair demand management and steering committee forums.
Oversee project governance, budgets, and business case development.
Manage vendors, outsourced service providers, and technology partners.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and IT governance.
Provide leadership and oversight for service delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (Honours advantageous).10–12 years' progressive experience in system development, architecture, and analytics.
Proven experience in enterprise software design and integration.
Leadership experience in digital transformation initiatives.
Experience managing outsourced IT partners.
Strong background in data modelling, analytics, and ETL.
Knowledge of architecture frameworks, integration design, and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD, and modern delivery methodologies.
Experience in the fruit export industry (advantageous).
