Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (SUSE, RHEL, Ubuntu) Ensure high availability and system resilience across critical environments
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide proactive solutions
Apply patches, updates, and security fixes
Manage and optimise cloud environments (AWS & Azure) Maintain system documentation, configurations, and knowledge base articles
Manage Incident, Problem, and Change processes within ITSM frameworks Track and manage work via Jira to meet delivery timelines Support operational governance and participate in standby rotations
Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to continuous improvement Essential Skills Strong experience with Unix/Linux (SUSE preferred) Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Power Shell) Experience with High Availability solutions (e.g., Veritas Infoscale) Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana (or similar) Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH ) Exposure to Oracle and SAP environments Experience working in complex, enterprise IT operations environments Virtualisation (VMware ) and private cloud solutions Observability tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk ) Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Podman ) ITSM tools (Service Now ) and ITIL processes Version control (Git Hub ) and automation practices Knowledge of Windows Server environments Degree in IT, Information Systems, or equivalent
5+ years’ experience in IT operations Strong background in configuration management & automation Linux certifications (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE) – advantageous
Cloud experience (AWS / Azure ) essential
