More specifically, the successful incumbent will be expected to:Monitor and ensure the implementation of the Academic strategy, standards and policies on the campus through engagement with the Academic Managers;Build the Academic culture on campus;Be responsible for ensuring and promoting parity between Schools operating on the campus;Perform quality oversight of the Academic engagements;Manage the Centre for Student Support (C4SS) in developing the Campus plan for student support and success on the campus;Take responsibility for managing the Academic budget on the campus;Ensure that the Academic resources on campus, including the library and related systems, meet the CHE and Programme standards; andManage in collaboration with the Academic Managers and the Lecturing Staff requirements for the Schools represented on the campus.Co-ordinate the effective and efficient roll-out of the general Academic delivery on the campus, based on the directives from the Head of School and with the respective Academic Managers.

Several industries are associated with information technology, including computer hardware, software, electronics, semiconductors, internet, telecom equipment, and e-commerce. Humans have been storing, retrieving, manipulating, and communicating information since the Sumerians in Mesopotamia developed writing in about 3000 BC, but the term information technology in its modern sense first appeared in a 1958 article published in the Harvard Business Review; authors Harold J. Leavitt and Thomas L. Whisler commented that "the new technology does not yet have a single established name. We shall call it information technology (IT)." Their definition consists of three categories: techniques for processing, the application of statistical and mathematical methods to decision-making, and the simulation of higher-order thinking through computer programs.
