Distribution Manager
Our client is seeking a dynamic Distribution Manager to helm the Southern Region's distribution and warehousing operations. This pivotal role offers the chance to steer a vital component of the supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Spearhead the management of outbound logistics, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
- Proactively resolve delivery challenges and maintain effective communication with the Sales team.
- Drive cost efficiencies across distribution, addressing any inefficiencies with innovative solutions.
- Oversee reverse logistics, ensuring timely processing of proofs of delivery, credits, and related queries.
- Collaborate with Sales to facilitate meeting monthly sales targets while managing additional costs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Tertiary qualification in logistics, with a significant tenure of 10 - 15 years in distribution and warehousing within an FMCG environment.
- Proven managerial experience, with at least 5 years in a role overseeing a team of 50+ employees.
- Demonstrated proficiency in WMS and ERP systems, with a preference for JDE knowledge.
- Adept in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a track record of productivity and cost-saving achievements.
