The Quality Control / Laboratory Analyst is responsible for executing Quality Control, QMS, and GLP activities while supporting ongoing Skills Development initiatives within the department.
The role contributes to ISO 9001 compliance, operational excellence, and the mentoring and development of interns and learners in alignment with SETA and Skills Development requirements.
Key Responsibilities Quality Management Systems (QMS)Conduct investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances Support and participate in internal and external audits Maintain retention sample registers and stability records Conduct factory and warehouse inspections and report findings Maintain and control quality documentation in line with ISO 9001 Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)Ensure laboratory equipment calibration and compliance Prepare, standardise, and manage laboratory reagents and consumables Enforce laboratory housekeeping, safety, and GLP requirements Review, verify, and approve laboratory test results Quality Control Perform and review testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products Monitor analysis priorities and ensure timely release of materials Approve raw material and finished product releases Manage rejected materials, quarantining, and rework trials Perform non-routine analysis including effluent and process water testing Calculate and advise on batch adjustments.
