Job Title: Hotel Manager Reports To: Nexture Hospitality Group Location: Bramasole Boutique Hotel, Magoebaskloof, Limpopo Property Size:16-room luxury boutique hotel Contract: 3 Months Profile: Only South African Nationals will be considered for this role at this moment JOB SUMMARYThe Hotel Manager functions as the strategic operational leader for Bramasole Boutique Hotel and acts on behalf of the management company.
This role oversees all key departments including Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, Events, facilities where applicable.
As a member of the leadership team, the Hotel Manager ensures the delivery of an exceptional guest experience consistent with the hotel's boutique premium brand.
The role focuses on operational excellence, employee engagement, revenue growth, cost control, and overall financial performance.
The Hotel Manager is responsible for developing and implementing property-wide strategies that align with the brand's service vision, enhance guest satisfaction, maintain operational efficiency, and generate sustainable returns on investment.
CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation & Experience Requirements Option 1:2-year diploma or higher certificate in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in hotel operations, including management experience in operations, sales, marketing, or related areas Option 2:4-year Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel operations, including experience managing multiple departments Additional Advantages: Experience in boutique or luxury hotels Knowledge of South African hospitality regulations and labour practices Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and financial reporting tools CORE WORK ACTIVITIES1.
Managing Profitability and Departmental Budgets Keeps operational teams aligned with key priorities to drive guest satisfaction and achieve financial targets.
Ensures all guest-service areas support an exceptional boutique hospitality experience.
Reviews monthly financial statements, variance reports, and budgeting forecasts to assess operational performance.
Ensures capital expenditure plans are aligned with brand goals and long-term property improvements.
Works with department heads to identify revenue opportunities and resolve budget-related challenges.
Protects profit margins while maintaining high guest satisfaction and employee morale.
Identifies operational inefficiencies and leads corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
Coaches department heads on effective management of occupancy, rates, labour costs, and controllable expenses.
Reviews wage reports regularly, ensuring alignment with budgets and holding teams accountable for results.
Develops and executes operational strategies aligned with the hotel's business goals.
Makes and executes key decisions to advance the property's financial and service objectives.2.
Managing Property Operations Drives continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency.
Communicates clear expectations and operational goals to ensure consistency of performance.
Implements brand standards, service strategies, and owner-driven initiatives.
Ensures all core components of the service vision are executed across departments.
Conducts regular walkthroughs of the property, interacting with guests and staff to identify operational needs and opportunities.3.
Leading Property Operations Teams Establishes and champions the hotel's service vision across all departments.
Ensures departmental leaders are aligned with the property's operational and service goals.
Upholds a culture of fairness, equity, and respect in all employee interactions.
Inspires teams to consistently deliver personalised, memorable guest experiences.4.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities Observes employee performance and provides constructive, timely feedback.
Recruits skilled, service-driven management and operational staff aligned with the hotel's boutique ethos.
Conducts annual performance reviews in accordance with internal standards.
Upholds an "open-door policy" to foster transparency and address employee concerns.
Monitors talent potential within the hotel and supports internal development.
Cultivates a culture of service excellence through daily briefings, ongoing coaching, and role modelling of guest-centric behaviour.
