The successful applicant will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation and management of the division.
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning and implementing overall Waste Control business strategy, working closely with the Directors of SA Metal Group
Managing and overseeing the Waste Control staff working in transport, sales and administration
Setting and managing budget controls
Building and maintaining professional relationships with other divisions of SA Metal Group
Building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors
Approving sales quotations and managing tender applications and processes
Continuously identifying areas within the division in which the business can improve and implementing such improvement
Creating and presenting reports for Directors of SA Metal Group
Ensuring legal compliance at all times
Qualifying Experience:
High school diploma
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Undergraduate qualification in supply chain, logistics or similar relevant field
Minimum 8 years of experience as a General Manager or similar role
Knowledge and experience of logistics and transport is advantageous
Experience and knowledge of waste management is advantageous
Financial control management
Hands-on experience in budgeting and reporting
