tma is currently hiring a Fleet Support Specialist to join our growing operations team. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role suited to individuals who thrive in high-pressure environments and have a strong interest in vehicle operations, logistics, and coordination.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of fleet operations, supporting drivers, coordinating services, and managing incidents in real time.
This is a night shift role aligned to USA hours : 4pm to 12am SAST
12am to 9am SAST
Please note that shifts may adjust depending on daylight savings time changes.
This is a 100% office-based role from one of our locations in Sandton, Durban, Cape Town, or Kenya. Key Responsibilities Respond to vehicle incidents and assess urgency, ensuring safety and proper escalation
Coordinate with drivers, service providers, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
Diagnose vehicle-related concerns telephonically and determine next steps
Track and manage service and maintenance requests
Schedule repairs, servicing, and inspections
Maintain accurate fleet records, including service history and compliance documentation
Liaise with vendors and monitor turnaround times
Handle incident and claims-related processes with attention to detail
Identify recurring issues and support process improvements What We’re Looking For Experience in fleet coordination, logistics, transport, or a similar operational role
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think on your feet
Comfortable using systems such as Google Workspace, or similar tools
General understanding of vehicles and maintenance is highly advantageous
