Job Title: Subdepartment Manager Engineering Support

Non-negotiable qualifications and experience required:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in engineering support or management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity within the marine sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles and systems, with experience in providing technical support for marine engineering projects.
- Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands. Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Duties and responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the engineering support subdepartment, ensuring the team is well-trained, motivated, and effectively allocated to meet project demands.
- Technical Expertise & Support: Provide high-level technical support to engineering teams, troubleshooting issues, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering departments (e.g., design, integration, manufacturing) to support project execution, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of any issues that arise.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements within the engineering support functions, optimizing workflows and enhancing project delivery efficiency.
- Resource Management & Planning: Oversee the allocation and management of resources (human, technical, financial) within the subdepartment to ensure optimal utilization and project success.
