The SAP CO Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the SAP Controlling (CO) module. This role plays a key part in enabling effective internal cost management, financial planning, and performance monitoring. Working closely with business and technical teams, the consultant ensures that SAP CO processes are aligned with organizational goals and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Configuration:
Design, configure, and implement core SAP CO sub-modules, including:
Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
Internal Orders
Product Costing
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
Ensure seamless integration of SAP CO with other SAP modules such as FI, MM, PP, and SD.
Business Analysis & Support: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to develop efficient CO solutions.
Conduct workshops and engage with stakeholders to understand financial and operational reporting needs.
Deliver end‑to‑end support for SAP CO implementations, enhancements, and upgrades. Testing & Documentation: Develop comprehensive test plans and conduct system and integration testing.
Document functional designs, test scenarios, results, and change requests.
Create and maintain user manuals, configuration guides, and training materials.
Facilitate end‑user training sessions and workshops.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and business users.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement system enhancements.
Monitor and resolve issues related to SAP CO modules.
Support finance teams with month‑end and year‑end closing activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
3–5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP CO configuration and support.
Deep understanding of internal cost control, budgeting, and management accounting.
Proven ability to integrate SAP CO with other functional modules.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Preferred Qualifications: SAP CO certification.
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and its CO functionalities.
Exposure to SAP Fiori applications or SAP Analytics Cloud.
