IT Delivery Manager (Financial Services) – Johannesburg.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead Agile, cross-functional teams in a dynamic enterprise environment.

This role focuses on overseeing end-to-end system delivery, vendor performance, budgeting, and aligning IT initiatives with business strategy.

Ideal for a results-driven technical leader with strong stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery expertise, and people leadership skills. Key responsibilities include driving delivery excellence, enhancing Agile maturity, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Salary: R1.6m per annum.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology or Business-related field (essential)
• Scrum certification, SAFe, or Agile practitioner qualifications (preferred)
• 3 – 5+ years in a senior technical delivery role
• Experience from a Capital Markets background is essential
• Proven experience in performance management, vendor oversight, budgeting, and agile transformation
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, cross-functional leadership, and project tracking
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, full-stack development, and emerging tech (AI/ML)
• Strategic leadership and planning mindset
• A balance of governance rigour and agile adaptability
• A passion for people development, delivery excellence, and innovation
• Strong communication with C-level executives and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-skilled teams across Agile delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective solution delivery
• Oversee project and BAU delivery, managing a technology budget.
• Align IT delivery with business priorities, ensuring stakeholder needs are translated into actionable solutions
• Contribute to strategic planning and support key initiatives through business case development
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, improve Dev Ops practices, and coach team members toward high performance
• Manage third-party vendors at SLA level, driving accountability and performance
• Ensure process alignment with enterprise architecture and governance frameworks
• Participate in solution design, quality assurance, and change control procedures
• Foster a collaborative culture and coach teams in Agile delivery, automation, and innovation
• Lead team performance reviews, development plans, and cross-training to strengthen delivery capabilities
