Group Accountant

Our client in the retail / manufacturing industry is seeking a Group Accountant to join their team in Germiston, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Manager and should have experience with bill of materials, accounting, creditors and expenses, cashbook, annual audits, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Accounting for creditors and expenses
• Cashbook management
• Record keeping and filing
• Implementation of internal controls
• Fixed assets management
• Participation in annual audits as part of the financial team
• Preparation of annual budgets

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Syspro experience required / advantageous
• Commerce Degree / Management Accounting qualification
• Minimum 5 – 8 years' experience as an Accountant in the retail industry
• Experience within the retail / manufacturing sector, including working with bill of materials (BOMs)
• Inventory work-in-progress management experience within retail / manufacturing
