Description Provide quality claims negotiating outcomes for the Claims function through effective and efficient claims negotiations and finalisation of claims.

Answer telephone and email queries from the brokers, based on updated logs Analyse claim and confirm cover Draft rejection letter if claim rejected Request and analyze policy file and related documentation Appoint assessor, if required Capture/register claim Settle claims within mandate Recover 3rd party claims Prepare payments file on successful recovery Finalise claim as per Old Mutual Insure standard Keep broker informed at all times in terms of progress of claim Accountability & Urgency: Is responsible for own effectivity and related results.

The function is a highly pressurised and complex environment that demands that claims and tasks are treated with extreme urgency.

Business Acumen: Understanding main business drivers in order to impact on decision making and get things done; maintaining awareness of developments in the organizational structure and politics; demonstrating financial awareness; controlling costs and thinking in terms of profit, loss and added value.

Claims Processing: Understanding and effective application of the claims processes that he or she is responsible for as well as to link and drive the intended results including service and costs.

This includes an innate understanding of claims policy wordings, processes and systems to ensure effectivity of the team and outcome of the goals and objectives as well as technical expertise on vehicle damage Quality Driven: He or she needs to have high standards on quality without diminishing effectivity that support the business objectives and delivers exceptional customer service and experience.

Customer Centricity: The ability to prioritise customer service and customer experience as well as claims processes and any other stakeholder.

Customer service should be the foundation of which all decisions are made.

Decision-Making and Problem Solving: The ability to do complex reasoning that analyses symptomatic challenges and derives the implementation of effective solutions to ensure claims service and process continuity.

The team member is expected to apply skills and expertise in decision making to achieve results.

Presents solutions that meet customer objectives Minimum Job Requirements (Experience, Skills and Qualifications): Matric4 years short term claims experience Technical ability to effectively direct claims Understanding of claims processes and service requirements Appropriate insurance qualification/ degree Minimum period required to perform productivity in this job: 4 – 6 months Skills Claims Negotiations, Claims Settlement, Client Negotiations, Settlement Negotiations Education Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) (Required)Closing Date06 June 2024
