Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastics industry, located in Cape Town . Specialties include cleaning, brushwork, plastic moulding, homeware and kitchenware. Customers are the major retailers, wholesales and general trade nationally. They are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the CEO he/she will be responsible for the strategic leadership of procurement, manufacuturing, quality, safety, risk management, logistics and distribution functions of the organisation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• BDeg in Engineering or Operations Management, Supply Chain Management
• MBA or equivalent would be an advantage
• 10 years+ experience in manufacturing operations management including all aspects mentioned above
• 5 years experience in a similar role at a similar size operation (R1bn turnover, 700 staff)

• Strategic planning and execution
• Budgeting and financial oversight

• Capex identification, evaluation and proposals
