Description of the Role

As a Country Controller for 3 M South Africa, you will collaborate with a diverse team of innovative professionals and have the opportunity to make a significant impact through financial leadership.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Producing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U. S. GAAP.
• Preparing and overseeing the country's statutory financial statements and submissions to authorities.
• Managing treasury and tax operations, serving as the main contact for global and regional tax and treasury teams.
• Standardizing processes, developing SOPs, process maps, and obtaining necessary sign-offs.
• Communicating material financial results clearly and promptly.
• Coordinating with Global Service Centre teams for financial close processes.
• Liaising with other finance functions for cross-functional activities.
• Acting as the company's representative with external financial, tax, and regulatory bodies.
• Supporting decision-making processes with financial insights.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance or related field.
• Proven experience in finance and accounting, in both private and public sectors.

Preferred Skills and Additional Qualifications:

• Strong financial knowledge, including local statutory and tax requirements.
• Ability to influence organizational decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, Finance Dashboards, and other financial systems.

Additional Details:

• Travel up to 10%, domestic and international.
• Work mode: On-site or Hybrid.
• Full-time position; relocation assistance not provided.
