MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent, and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Create a positive patient environment to facilitate a good experience.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential: Enrolled Nurse Certificate.
• Desired: CPD courses in specific specialties for specialised wards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum: None.
• Desired: One year of post-qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Basic life support trained.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Nursing procedures and processes.
