A leading recruitment firm is seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineer (Heavy Current) to join a dynamic engineering team in a growing, project-driven environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of electrical control systems and panels, supporting both internal production and external client requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
BTech or BSc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) also considered
Experience & Technical Skills:
1–2 years' experience using EPLAN and Auto CAD Electrical
Knowledge of EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) systems
Electrical panel building experience (1 year advantageous)
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Basic project management skills (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
Design motor control centres (MCCs)
Generate parts lists, IO lists, cable schedules, and quality control documentation
Liaise with the panel building team and workshop manager to ensure design accuracy
Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Update and re-issue designs in accordance with workshop or site modifications
