FTC 6 Months – Mine Safety Officer (Comsoc 1&2 + SAMTRAC), North West, Rneg
Grade 12 or equivalent;
Comsoc 1 and 2 or SAMTRAC

essential;
Computer literate (Word and Excel);
Diploma or Degree in Risk Management will be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years’ experience;
Experience in investigations and reporting;
Safety training experience;
Duties:
Maintain SHERQ system for the business unit;
Enforce compliance as per MHS Act requirements;
Incident investigation;
Maintain and review processes and procedure according to ISO standards;
Audit, report findings and implement corrective actions;
Perform Risk Assessments;
Audit compliance of sub-contractors;
Advise Plant Manager on related SHERQ issues;
Act as proxy for the company;
Training, change and people management.
Manage required safety documentation – near miss, HIRA books etc
