is looking for a

Design Engineer

to join their team for a project in the

Western Cape.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Must be registered with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng/ Pr Eng.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience post registration with ECSA.
Must have worked on major roads projects.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop road infrastructure solutions, including road alignment, cross-sections, and pavement design.
Perform traffic analysis and geometric design to optimise road capacity and ensure safety.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with South African road design codes and international best practices.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather essential data for the design process.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
Review and assess third-party designs, providing technical support and guidance where necessary.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance processes throughout the design phase.
Provide cost estimation input and support the preparation of tender documents.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in road design technologies and South African standards.
