Job Summary:
The Blockman/Meat Technician will be responsible for the efficient and precise cutting, trimming, and preparation of meat products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent knife skills, and a strong understanding of meat quality and safety standards. This role requires a proactive individual who can maintain a clean and organized work environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Meat Cutting and Preparation: Accurately cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry) according to specifications and customer requests.
Quality Control: Inspect meat products for quality, ensuring that they meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that meat products are properly stored and rotated to maintain freshness.
Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Customer Service: Interact with customers to provide product recommendations, answer questions, and fulfill special requests.
Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and clean all cutting tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
