Job description : Freelance Associate Creative Director with Social and Beauty experience
Location: Remote – Freelancer needs to be based in SA
Duration: ASAP – 3 months with a possible extension
Please note: Proven experience in both the beauty industry and social media is essential. This must be clearly reflected on your CV, and examples of both must be reflected on your portfolio for your application to be considered.
THE ROLE
You’ll shape the creative direction for the client’s social presence, leading a team of creatives to produce content that is brave, beautiful, and built for the platform it lives on. Working closely with strategy, production, and the client brand team, you’ll translate briefs into ideas that resonate, from campaign hero content to reactive moments and always‑on storytelling.
You’ll set the creative standard, develop the people around you, and act as the senior creative voice in the room when it counts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead the creative direction for the client’s social channels, including Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, and emerging platforms, ensuring output is platform‑native, on‑brand, and creatively ambitious
Translate brand briefs and strategic territories into compelling social‑first concepts, from campaign moments to always‑on content
Direct and develop a team of 4–6 creatives, including designers, art directors, and content creators, setting clear creative direction and supporting their growth
Present creative work to the client stakeholders with clarity and conviction, defending ideas and building client confidence in the creative approach.
Review and approve all creative output against the client’s brand guidelines and quality standards before it leaves the studio.
