A leading renewable energy IPP is seeking an experienced Senior Assets Lead to take ownership of a portfolio of utility‑scale operational assets across Solar PV, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for ensuring assets deliver against their technical, financial, and contractual performance targets while managing key stakeholder relationships at both operational and board level.
The Senior Assets Lead will act as the commercial and operational custodian of multiple energy assets, bridging the gap between plant‑level performance and strategic, investor‑level decision‑making. You will drive optimisation, ensure compliance with complex project agreements, and support long‑term asset value creation within a dynamic and fast‑growing renewable energy environment.
Key Responsibilities Asset Performance & Optimisation
Take full accountability for asset performance across technical, financial, and operational KPIs
Identify and implement optimisation initiatives to improve asset returns
Monitor plant performance and work with operators to improve availability and reliability
Stakeholder & SPV Management
Manage key relationships including: Plant operators, EPC contractors, Lenders and investors, and Advisors and regulators
Act as SPV-level lead, overseeing operators and ensuring effective governance
Contractual & Compliance Oversight
Ensure compliance with all project agreements (PPAs, MSAs, financing agreements)
Manage contractual rights and obligations across all stakeholders
Support dispute resolution and contract enforcement where required
Support development and execution of annual operating plans and budgets
Work closely with finance teams on project funding, reporting, and lender engagement
Drive commercial decision‑making to maximise long‑term value
Develop and manage asset risk frameworks across technical, financial, and operational areas
Provide high‑quality reporting to boards, shareholders, and lenders
Ensure transparency, accuracy, and governance in all reporting processes
Degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, or related field
5–10+ years’ experience in infrastructure or renewable energy asset management
Strong experience in utility‑scale power generation or operational plant environments
Proven experience working with projects structured under project finance frameworks
Key Skills & Experience
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Solid knowledge of project agreements (PPA, O&M, EPC)
Experience managing operational energy assets (O&M environment)
Strong stakeholder management and board‑level reporting experience
Ability to manage complex risk, compliance, and governance frameworks
Advanced analytical skills with strong Excel and reporting capability
