A strong hydrology background and realization. Knowledge in the use of HEC - RAS (1 D, 1 D/2 D and 2 D) or similar software. Extensive knowledge in the flooding sector within Africa. A relevant undergraduate degree, with a master’s or equivalent experience. Professional registration with either ECSA or SACNASP, or other appropriate institution or willing to pursue professional registration. Knowledge in the use of GIS, pluvial flood risk management will be advantageous. Knowledge in Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow, and other industry standard software will be advantageous but not compulsory.
