Job Description A well-established Construction Company in the Built environment is seeking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor (NQF 7).

The successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities and will manage main contractor building contracts directly.

The successful applicant will be the custodian of the project budget and manage all costs relating to the specified construction projects.

As the Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of the project, preparing estimates and cost reports whilst tracking any variations and movements in turnover / profit.

Minimum Requirements: • BTech or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying (NQF 7) • Knowledge of construction claims legislation (NEC4, JBCC) • At least 3 to 7 years’ relevant experience in a similar Built environment.

• Must be well equipped to work with various Candy (CCS) functions.

• Prepared to travel to project locations.

• Valid Driver’s License and own transport.

Preferred Competencies: • Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Build Smart.

• Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good decision making and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables.

• A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.

• Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment.

Requirements Duties: Creating and Maintaining Schedules: Developing detailed project schedules that outline all tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

Coordination: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned with the schedule.

Monitoring Progress: Tracking the progress of the project against the schedule and identifying any potential delays.

Adjusting Schedules: Making necessary adjustments to the schedule to accommodate changes in project scope, resources, or timelines.

Resource Allocation: Ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet project deadlines.
