Overview:
Westrocon is an SAP VAR partner for SAP By Design, S/4 HANA, and other products, with high growth ambitions in South Africa and across Africa. The company aims to become the leading mid-market VAR in the SAP General Business space. Our responsibilities include:
- Installation, upgrade, and support of SAP infrastructure components
- Contributing to SAP system architecture design
- Supporting and guiding support teams and project consultants
Job Requirements & Qualifications :
- Tertiary qualification – degree preferred (e.g., BSc IT)
- IT experience across various domains (databases, networks, MSQL, etc.)
- Certifications in SAP Net Weaver Technology (SAP Basis) and/or Solution Manager
- Industry-recognized qualifications (e.g., Oracle, Linux, databases)
Skills :
- Implementing and supporting SAP ECC
- Experience with Red Hat Linux, SUSE, Oracle Enterprise Linux, database administration (Oracle, SQL Server), network and SAN administration
Experience :
- Implementing and supporting SAP ECC/SAP S4/HANA
- Upgrade and migration experience
- Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) experience
Responsibilities :
- Ensure SAP systems operate reliably, efficiently, and securely, including configuring High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Complete project tasks with focus on meeting milestones
- Adhere to standards and maintain documentation
- Maintain communication with the SAP Basis team leader
- Provide technical support across multiple levels
- Collaborate with SAP functional and business teams for ongoing support
- Support other applications and services as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Investigate and recommend new technologies
- Stay updated with SAP directives and technological developments
