Job Description

  1. Proactively seek out new sales opportunities and convert them into sales.
  2. Support and maintain the company’s product portfolio installed base.
  3. Identify potential customers and present product/service offerings to meet their needs.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  6. Develop a deep understanding of our products/services and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value proposition to customers.
  7. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  8. Use market insights to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of the competition.
  9. Keep accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and sales pipeline status.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  11. Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, and other departments to achieve company objectives and provide a seamless customer experience.
  12. Provide additional support for the company’s full portfolio in the region, including devices and consumables, as needed.
  13. Support Key Opinion Leaders in Ophthalmology.

Job Requirements

Education / Professional Certification

  • Degree in scientific, engineering, technical, or product-related field, or graduation from a higher institution, or equivalent.
  • Science / Optometry Degree or other relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Medical Sales, ideally in Ophthalmology.
  • Previous sales experience in B2 B or B2 C environments with a proven track record.
  • Experience in training.
  • Ability to network and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge and experience in the theatre environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Ophthalmology market in the region.
